It is necessary that for each accepted abstract that one author / presenter is registered.

AIEA Financial support for participants could be provided. See more.

Important: Participants are strongly recommended to book their accommodation as soon as possible, because July is high season in Lisbon. Special prices will be available at a selection of hotels recommended by our partner: Abreu Events. See further information.

  • - Excursion and Dinner
  • - Student fee includes the same items above, except the print copy of the Proceedings.

Important: STUDENTS MUST SUBMIT PROOF OF THEIR STUDENT STATUS, by sending to smmib2017@ctn.tecnico.ulisboa.pt a presentation letter from their Institution. Student registration is available for Undergraduate, Graduate and Ph.D. Students ONLY.

Accompanying persons:
The registration cost for accompanying persons includes badge, welcome reception and lunches. Conference excursion and dinner are not included in the fee: payment should be made together with the registration (60 €).


 2. REGISTRATION

- On-site Payment: Cash or Credit Card at the registration desk is requested. Cheques are not accepted.

  • - Early registration payments must be received before 16th May 2017.
  • - All transaction charges for payments by Credit Card/Bank Transfer should be paid by the sender.
  • - A receipt will be sent after payment confirmation.


 4. FURTHER INFORMATION

Cancellation Policy
  • - Any change/cancellation must be addressed to smmib2017@ctn.tecnico.ulisboa.pt.
  • - Participants cancelling before 30th June 2017 will receive a refund minus a 50€ administration fee.
  • - No refunds can be made for cancellations after 30th June 2017.

Insurance and Liability
  • - The registration fee does not include personal insurance. Participantes are advised to make their own arrangements regarding travel insurance and medical assistance during the conference.
  • - The Conference Secretariat, Organizing Committees and Organizing Institutions are not able to take any responsibility, whatsoever, for injury and damage to person or properties during the meeting.
  • - Delegates are required to comply with the rules and regulations governing the applicable venue and/or accommodation. The delegates are recommended to insure any property brought onto, or left, at the venue and/or the accommodation as any such property is brought onto, or left, at the venue at their own risk.
  • - In the event that the SMMIB-2017 conference cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the Conference Organizers or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the Conference Organizers, the Conference Organizers cannot be held liable by attendees for any damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodation costs, financial losses, or any other indirect losses or consequential damages.
